7 Tips For Planning Your Day At Disney World
Making the most of your Disney Days is essential so you get to see as much as possible in the short amount of time you might have. I've used the following 7 tips with great success to get the most fun out of my days at Disney World.
Plan Your Days In Advance
Planning out your days in advance can help save time when you are actually in the parks. I like to pick the rides or shows I would most like to see or do, and then plan the rest of my day around those show times. It makes things much easier to plan rides around show times, instead of missing various shows while waiting in lines for rides.
Time Your Rides
Another thing I like to do is try to find the best times for the rides. I've found that at Epcot, going on rides like Spaceship Earth, Mission Space, and Test Track are better at night. The lines are shorter in the evening for those particular rides, it seems. Also, for the incredibly popular rides, you will want to get a fast pass very early in the day. You might find your ride time to be sometime in the afternoon, even if you get your pass early in the morning. A couple of rides that have this kind of wait are Toy Story Mania at Hollywood Studios and Soarin' at Epcot.
Do Two Rides At Once
A crafty use for fastpass is using it to wait in line for two rides. Get your fast pass for one ride and wait for the other. Then, after your ride, go back to the ride your fastpass is for and head to the front of the line!
Planning For Multiple Parks
With the Park Hopper option on some tickets, planning becomes even more essential. Always plan for at least a half hour to an hour to get between parks. Even with the Disney transportation system, you will still find it takes a bit of time to get from park to park with the sheer size of the entire resort! If you don't want to miss a show at another park, be sure to try to get an early start, or plan on visiting that park another day.
Avoid Meal Rush Times
Dining can also be a very time consuming event. During typical breakfast, lunch, and dinner hours, you can find yourself in long lines. I like to try to miss the biggest rush by eating earlier or later than I usually would, choosing a quick snack instead, while I wait to pick my meal.
Get Started Early
Getting up earlier in the morning for breakfast can save a lot of time, with shorter lines, and also helps you get to the parks even faster!
Make Meal Reservations
If you are planning to eat at a table-service restaurant, making a reservation can save you a lot of waiting time. If you choose not to get a reservation, then I would definitely suggest taking your meal at an earlier or later time.
It is easy to get overwhelmed with how much Disney World offers. Knowing what you want to do most and making a schedule that includes all of those things is the best way to make sure you do not leave anything behind!
